About Me

Meet Vanda Alencar Refermat, the founder and driving force behind our Pilates gym. Originally from Brazil, Vanda moved to the United States in 1996 and has since dedicated her life to the art and science of movement. With a master's degree in Physical Therapy and a PhD in Respiratory Therapy, she combines her extensive knowledge with a passion for wellness.

Vanda's journey began with ballet and Pilates during her time in Brazil, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for the body’s capabilities. She earned her Pilates certification through BASI Pilates and has completed additional certifications, including Pre and Post Natal Pilates.

In 2016, Vanda developed the innovative Brazil Butt Barre program, incorporating her unique "V 100" exercises tailored for Pilates, barre, injury rehabilitation, and more. Her expertise and creative approach have transformed countless lives, making her a sought-after instructor in the field.
